Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is telemedicine and how does it work?
Telemedicine allows you to meet virtually with a licensed physician using your phone, tablet, or computer. You can discuss your health concerns, review lab results, and receive a personalized treatment plan — all from the comfort of your home.
2. What types of conditions do you treat?
We provide adult care for common and chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, thyroid disorders, fatigue, and stress-related issues. We also focus on natural and lifestyle-based approaches to prevent and reverse chronic disease.
3. Can you prescribe medication or order labs through telemedicine?
Yes. Our physicians can prescribe most medications electronically to your local pharmacy and order lab tests or imaging as needed. Results are reviewed together during your virtual follow-up visit.
4. Do you use natural or herbal remedies?
Yes. We combine conventional internal medicine with evidence-based natural therapies. When appropriate, we may recommend herbal supplements, nutrition plans, detox programs, or stress-reduction techniques.
5. Who can schedule a telemedicine visit?
We currently serve adults (18 and older) located in California — including Los Angeles County, Palmdale, Lancaster, Santa Clarita, and the surrounding Antelope Valley communities.
6. How much does a telemedicine visit cost?
Initial visits typically range from $49–$199 depending on length and complexity. Follow-up visits are usually lower. Visits may be eligible for superbill submission to insurance or HSA/FSA reimbursement.
7. How do I prepare for my virtual appointment?
Have your current medications, supplements, and recent lab results ready. Choose a quiet, private space with a strong internet connection. Once your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive a secure video link to join your visit.
8. Is my information secure and private?
Yes. We use a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform that encrypts all personal health information to protect your privacy.
9. Do you accept insurance?
At this time, most visits are self-pay. We provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company or use with an HSA/FSA card.
10. What makes Natural Med Doctors different?
We focus on finding and addressing the root causes of illness. Our care blends conventional medicine with nutrition, lifestyle change, and natural therapies to help you heal and thrive long-term.
